We Love Our Friends & Our Hockey

We had so much fun with Deb, Bubbles & the grandkids last time that we just couldn't say "no" when we were invited back. We had a blast again when playing games, eating great food and playing on the ice again!

Titan's Tournament

The Titan's (Spencer's team) had a tourny in Oakville this weekend and did they play amazingly. They lead the tournament all they way to the semi-finals where they played an amazing game! They got the first goal and held that lead till the 2nd period where the Unicorns tied it up. Then Spencer got the 2nd goal that brought them into the lead briefly. The game remained tied till the bitter end which brought us to an overtime period...no score...SHOOT OUT!  They got a goal on their first attempt.  We could not find the net but our goalie held them off for their other two shooters so it was a nail biter right down to the bitter end. 

It was a great game and some solice in the fact that the Unicorns went on to win the entire tournament.   Great job Titans, you should be very proud of yourselves!

Curtis' First Volleyball Tournament (Palermo)

Curtis made the school volleyball team for the first time this year.  Today was their first tournament of the year. It was great to watch and an education as the scoring/rules were far different that this mom remembers from her volleyball days.

Unfortunately, they didn't do too well but learned lots and are ready to go great guns on their next tournament on the 23rd!!

Spencer turns ThirTEEN!!!

Hard to belive my boy is becoming a man (considering I'm in my 20's :) He wanted to have is b-day dinner at Red Lobster. We thought we lucked out because it wasn't at all busy when we got there...hint - run the other way. Service & food were less than stellar but we had fun picking on them & the Manager made it right in the end so it was a win!

Connecting with Bubs & Deb

Bubs & Deb were in Oakville staying with the grandkids and we decided to get together and hook up...seems like it had been forever since we had been together. The kids got out on the rink in the back yard (nothing more Canadian)!!

It was a wonderful evening of food, fun and friends.  Thanks so much for such a great time!!!

Florida - Day 17

It is our last day. We are all kind of exhausted and excited at the same time. Tired of travelling but excited to get home. We did encounter some snow on the last stretch of the drive home but nothing too terrible thank goodness!

Other than the damage from the ice storm, the animals were well taken care of (thanks to our great friends) and we had a fantastic time considering all that we had gone through before our trip began.  We truly are blessed and need to rmember how lucky we are.

Floriday - Day 16

After a bit of a late start yesterday we made it did pretty well today...made it all the way to Macon, OH (just outside of Dayton). We maybe could have gone farther but have heard all sorts of reports of a snow storm coming so didn't want to get stuck without a hotel or worse, driving in the snow through the night.

We had a fair bit of snoozing...

played around when we could...

Florida - Day15

Today is our final day in Cocoa Beach. We made sure we started off the day by saying good-bye to our new friends Kirk, Tracy & Rockford and catching our final Florida sunrise.

Florida - Day 14

Daddy forced all to go back to Universal for another day (cause we still had passes...not because any of us want to go back) and give it another go.  This time we went to the Land of Adventure and boy did we have an adventure!

Pretty good times until the rain hit...did help with the line-ups!

We must admit, eventhough it rained, we did have a better time than the first time.  Thanks for making us go back Dad but you should have listened to mom when she said it was going to rain...you don't get to wear the shirt on that one ;)
