New Years Eve Dinner!!

We stayed at Hotel Preston out by the Airport.  It was a little far out from everything but we knew that going into it...prices were crazy.  We found Max, a cab driver who was amazing and he took us anywhere we needed to go.  Saved on any of us having to worry about driving.
We were downtown on Broadway on New Years Eve.  Saw the whole set-up and practice.  That was enough for us.  We were in Mid-town for New Years day after going to the Antique store for American Pickers.  All good fun.  Back to the hotel for a bevy and watched the countdown/fireworks from our room with the boys.  It was super great to spend it with our friends and to be together in such an new and amazing place.  Thanks everyone!!

X-mas Vacation - Day 14 & 15 (New Orleans)

Heading back home we decided to stop at a couple of locations along the way we always wanted to - New Orleans is our first stop and it was everything we hoped it would be!!

We stayed at the Maison Dupuy in the French Quarter, only a block or so away from Bourbon Street.  It was great and would recommend it to everyone.  Can't imagine this place at Mardi Gras...so glad we came to see a little snippet of what New Orleans has to offer.  I imagine we will be back

X-mas Vacation - Day 13 (on the Road again)

We are now making our way to New Orleans.  On the way we need to stop back in Cocoa Beach to make a quick return to Ron Jon's.  Takes us a bit out of our way but we have some time.

X-mas Vacation - Day 12 (back in Miami)

Sad to say the Cruise is over.  Getting off and finding your luggage...such fun - not!

We decided to stay an extra day in Miami and see the town.  Great choice.  Stayed right on Biscayne Blvd and spent the day on the beach checking out the old retro art deco buildings.  It was amazing to see.

 Thank you Miami...we loved hanging out!!  So much more to see next time!

X-mas Vacation - Day 11 (Xmas day in the Bahamas)

Well Santa did a great job of finding us and making our day a great one!!  Who would have thought that after such a great cruise treat, and watches for the boys that Santa would have still brought us stuff.  Mom got earrings and a bracelet and then we were off to the Blue Lagoon for an afternoon on the beach!  Can life get any better?!

Water wasn't quite as deep as we thought but it was nice to feel the sand in our toes and just kick back and relax in the sun for a bit.  The boys had fun and that is really all that matters...love my family and feeling very blessed these days! Let's remember this when we have to try to get back on the boat...oh what a trip that was :)
