High Park Zoo

After a week of hanging with friends, swimming & doing stuff around town, the boys finished their March Break with a visit to the High Park Zoo.  Not many know about it or that it is free & it is dependent upon donations to keep going.  It is great for kids or all sizes and the park itself is really beautiful at any time of year.
Apparently this is a "red neck" Wallaby
...who would have thought?
There was a whole lot of Yakity Yak going on this week :)
It is hard to believe the week is over & we are back to the regular routine tomorrow already!  UGH!!

Leafs & Canadian Forces

It was ladies night out with some of my friends from work on Saturday night (woo hoo Mom is living large :).  We were treated to a Leafs game in the box and what a special night it was to see the night being dedicate to all the men and women to are in the Canadian Forces risking their lives to protect and serve us.
Todd's Angels
It would have been wonderful if the Leafs could have actually won the game but they gave it their best...10 player shoot out after OT!  It was an amazing & fun night nonetheless!

Sorry for the delay in getting your b-day gift Serina.  We felt bad enough missing your actual b-day but then to hear that you weren't feeling well :(

Hopefully you are better soon and you are able to enjoy!!

Winter's Beauty

It is that time of year when we have said that we have had enough and can't wait for it to be over but when we woke up this morning it really was beautiful...

...until I had to clean off my car!  Hopefully Spring isn't too far away!!

Oakville Mayor Visits Post's Corners

Curtis's class was studying governments in school and he thought it would be cool to check out our Town Hall.  He got real brave and sent a note to the Mayor asking if he could possibly get a moment of his time to meet with him to find out a bit about his job.  Much to Curtis' surprise, the Mayor's office responded back offering to meet the entire class and even made life real easy by coming direct to the school.

The Mayor was so impressed with Curtis' initiative he even offered him a job...Curtis was quick to accept - anything to get out of school :)

The Mayor spoke about some of the different things the municipal government does, some of the big projects they are working on now like the new hospital, and even offered to leave his official mayoral chain of office behind so the kids could get their pictures taken with it.  What a great day and super learning experience for the kids.  Thanks very much Mayor Burton!!

Hockey Weekend!

Daddy O & Curtis were in Belleville for a hockey tournament.  Curtis' team got 2nd in their division and Curtis got 2 goals in 3 games...not bad.  They had fun in the pool, eating out and even managed to catch a winter demolition derby!  CrAzY!
I have how much left?!
Winter demolition for trucks...in our redneck glory!!
The Champs
Spencer was stuck home with Mom because he had an important play-off game that they tied.  That was really good because this team was a tough one to beat all year long.  Mom treated Spencer to dinner out at Spoon & Fork, made muffins & took Maui for walks!
What are chopsticks doing at Spoon & Fork?
Look...I can eat rice with them!!
OK, they have lost their appeal now!

Oliphant's Valentine's

We were definitely feeling the love this Valentine's.  We had chocolate, jewelery, and a great dinner out at Kelsey's.  Maui even got a Valentine's froof.
